Study in Britain

Why study in Britain?

More than 500,000 international students from all over the world come to Britain annually to study there. Britain is considered the second country after the United States of America in the number of international students who come annually to study there. These students are distributed to study in 150 universities and more than 32,770 secondary, primary and intermediate schools. The number of students studying in 2019 amounted to about 10,320,8100 million students. These statistics are nothing but undeniable evidence that education and study in Britain is almost at the highest level in the world, and the difference between these numbers is huge compared to other countries. Certainly, there are many reasons and factors that have contributed to Britain being the first destination for education in the world, which is preferred by many students and people. Here, dear reader, you will find some of the reasons that made Britain the preferred destination.

Work for graduates in Britain

British law allows graduate students, whether they are bachelor's, master's, or doctoral students, to remain in Britain even after completing their studies for a period of two years in order to provide them with the opportunity to obtain work. This is an advantage that may not be available in many countries that prevent students from staying for a period longer than the duration of their studies.

Easy access to Britain

Reaching Britain is very easy with the availability of modern means of transportation, including planes, trains, ships, and land transportation. Britain is a country linked to many Arab countries with long-standing cultural relations. This is evidenced by the fact that the largest concentration of the Arab community is in Britain, and specifically in London, the capital. Therefore, it is not strange for a visitor, whether a student or otherwise, to see many Arabs working in British society for decades, most of whom are university teachers, doctors in hospitals, or owners of restaurants, commercial companies, and shops. The journey from Britain to Egypt does not exceed four hours by plane, and to Iraq only eight hours. There are many weekly flights, as well as trains that connect European countries with each other, making it very easy to reach. In addition, Britain is an island surrounded by seas on all sides, so ships reach it from all over the world. Therefore, I consider Britain a country that is easy to reach from everywhere.

Primary and secondary school students

The UK education system is divided into four main parts: primary, secondary, further, and higher education. Children in the UK are legally required to attend primary and secondary education, which lasts from about 5 years until the student turns 16. The UK education system is also divided into "Key Stages," which are divided as follows: Key Stage 1: 5 to 7 years; Key Stage 2: 7 to 11 years; Key Stage 3: 11 to 14 years; Key Stage 4: 14 to 16 years. Generally, Key Stages 1 and 2 take place in primary school, and at the age of 11, a student moves on to secondary school and completes Key Stages 3 and 4. Students are assessed at the end of each stage. The most significant assessment occurs at the age of 16 when students complete their GCSE, or General Certificate of Secondary Education. Once students complete their GCSE, they have the choice of continuing their education and potentially higher education, or leaving school and entering the world of work. The stage from 16 to 19 years is the last stage of high school, in which the student graduates to complete his university studies.
